Terms of Service

1. About these Terms

These Terms govern access to and use of J2D’s website, progressive web application, account areas, marketplace, communication tools, payment-supported features and related services. By creating or using an account, or by accepting these Terms electronically, you agree to be bound by them together with the policies that apply to your activity.

2. J2D’s role

J2D operates a marketplace that helps buyers and sellers find one another, communicate, agree scope, place orders, manage work and record transactions. Except where a service or product is expressly described as supplied by J2D itself, the underlying service contract is between the buyer and the seller. J2D is not the employer, agent, partner or representative of either party and does not guarantee that a user will receive work, be selected, earn a particular amount or obtain a particular outcome.

3. Eligibility and accounts

• You must have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements and provide accurate registration information.
• Each person must control only their own account unless an expressly authorised company-control feature applies.
• You must protect login credentials, use available security controls and notify J2D promptly of suspected unauthorised access.
• Accounts may not be sold, transferred, shared deceptively or used to impersonate another person or organisation.
• J2D may require email verification, profile completion, identity verification, address verification, company verification, tax information or other evidence before enabling particular features.

4. Buyer and seller activity

A user may act as a buyer, a seller or both, subject to the relevant Buyer Terms, Seller Terms and eligibility controls. Buyers are responsible for clear and lawful requests, timely payment and good-faith acceptance decisions. Sellers are responsible for truthful profiles, lawful offers, competent performance and timely delivery. Users must not manipulate listings, invitations, offers, reviews, rankings, verification or transaction records.

5. Transactions and payments

Orders, milestones, fees, commission, VAT, refunds, credits, payout holds and financial records are governed by the Payments, Refunds and Account Credit Policy. Payment outside J2D for work introduced or transacted through J2D is prohibited where the platform requires on-platform payment. Attempts to avoid fees, conceal consideration or move an active transaction off-platform may result in restrictions, withheld payouts where legally permitted, cancellation or account action.

6. Communications and content

Users retain responsibility for content they submit. You grant J2D a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate and promote the platform and the relevant listing or profile. You must not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, malicious or privacy-invasive material. J2D may scan communications and files for safety, fraud, malware, prohibited contact details and policy violations.

7. Verification and trust indicators

Verification badges and trust information indicate only that specified evidence or checks were completed at a particular time. They are not guarantees of identity, honesty, qualifications, financial standing, service quality or future conduct. Users remain responsible for evaluating whether another user and a proposed transaction are suitable.

8. Suspension, restriction and closure

J2D may warn, limit, suspend or close an account where reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, investigate fraud or abuse, enforce these Terms, secure payments, preserve evidence or protect platform integrity. Where appropriate, J2D may provide reasons and an opportunity to respond, but immediate protective action may be taken where delay would create risk. Account closure does not remove accrued payment, tax, dispute, confidentiality, intellectual-property or record-retention obligations.

9. Availability and changes

J2D may add, change, suspend or discontinue features. Reasonable efforts will be made to maintain availability, but uninterrupted or error-free access is not guaranteed. Material policy changes will be issued as a new version and, where acceptance is required, affected users must accept the new version before continuing to use gated features.

10. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, J2D is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of opportunity, loss of anticipated profit, or the acts, omissions, quality, legality or suitability of independent buyers and sellers. Any limitation must be interpreted subject to mandatory consumer law and other non-excludable rights.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Subject to any mandatory consumer right to bring proceedings elsewhere, disputes connected with J2D or these Terms are assigned to the competent courts of the Republic of Cyprus. Users should first contact legal@jobstodo.eu and allow a reasonable opportunity for internal resolution.

12. General

If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to enforce a provision immediately is not a waiver. The English version is the controlling version unless J2D expressly states otherwise. These Terms, together with applicable policies and transaction-specific terms, form the agreement between J2D and the user concerning platform use.
